I found this beautiful aspen leaf in a grove in Grand Teton National Park late one fall. The sun had just gone down and the light was fading fast, so to make this image, I quickly placed it on a nearby lichen-covered rock I had noticed earlier. The contrast of cold light and a cold colored background with the blazing hot oranges and yellows of the leaf make this one of my favorite close-up images.
